How does one objectively talk about religion anymore? It’s tough. Everything in God’s name has become open to hurt sentiments and global outrage. That’s way, this film as essentially a debate is a huge achievement. At least it tries to question. But then again, it’s a commercial flick, with one eye on the same over-sensitive audiences who are believers, and therefore should never be questioners, let alone be questioned themselves.

After giving several popular films, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal are back together in OMG – Oh My God! Not just are they acting in this flick, they are producing it too! This obviously means that they trust their product a lot; otherwise, why would they put their stakes in it, right?

When a film – or at least its voluble protagonist – questions the very existence of God, should its makers expect any divine help when it is stuck in a morass of mediocrity?

For once, there’s a movie that wants you to use your brains instead of just clapping and whistling away at the mindless action/sex scenes. Watch OMG Oh My God also because it has good performances and an interesting concept.

Oh My God is a brave and absorbing blend of satire, fable and fantasy that brings our attention to the misuse and commercialisation of religion

The background score of the film is worth appreciating and Prabhudeva-Sonakshi’s Go go Govind is quite amusing. Apart from this, other songs are alright. The editing is okay, though it does tend to get rough at times. It is not one of those movies that leave you in splits or in tears, but it will entertain you while compelling you to think over the interesting concept of godhood.

Umesh Shukla's film, 'OMG — Oh My God!' is a well-intentioned film but the execution could have been better. Shukla very competently succeeds in conveying the message that God has been reduced to mere symbolism in the modern world.

OMG Oh My God is an honest film with a strong message which should be encouraged and seen especially for the brilliance of its script and the delightful acting of Paresh Rawal!
